Me Before You
Hey guys! So basically I haven't read a really good book that I can't put down for almost four years. However, a couple weeks ago I got my hands on Me Before You and it is now pretty much my favorite book. It's so well-written, it's compelling, and it's a definite tear jerker. I've never cried while reading a book, I used to think that's impossible. While reading this book, I smiled, I teared up, I cried, it's an emotional roller coaster and it really makes you feel engaged in the story line. I read it mainly because I watched the trailer a few weeks ago and was really curious to read the book before the movie comes out, and that was such a good decision. I finished the book a few days ago and now I'm anxiously waiting for it to be released in theaters. Everyone should go watch the movie, I'd say everyone should read the book but considering the movie's going to be released next Thursday, just go watch the movie. You're going to have an amazing couple hours and honestly you're never going to want the movie to end. I know I didn't want the book to end. Enjoy it you guys, this might just be the best movie of the year.

Satisfy Your Inner Frenchie
Hi guys! I've been obsessing over french music for quite a while now and I never would have thought I'd actually like it. There are many french artists with amazing music and are definitely worth giving a shot. I'm not huge on old french music although I basically grew up listening to it with my mom and my aunt so I have a couple favorites but the music I'm listening to now is basically the new french music. Check out the artists in this post and tell me what you think!

Met Gala 2016: Best Looks!
Hey guys! It's that time of the year again when everyone is hyped up for the Met Gala including us girls across the world who are just waiting to see what all the celebrities are going to be wearing! I went through almost all the dresses that were worn last night and made my personal favorites so let's get to it!
Jessica Hart
Jessica Hart stunned in this Azzedine Alaia ensemble! I absolutely love the color of this and sheerness of it although it barely shows any skin, just a tiny bit at the midriff which is actually very attractive. She kept the makeup simple and opted for a black clutch that doesn't take away from the outfit! I would totally love to wear this!
Kendall Jenner
I am not a girl who usually likes color, if you open up my closet you'd probably see a ton of whites, grays, blacks, navy, etc... and you'd be shocked if you got to see color. However, I adore this Atelier Versace dress on Kendall! It has such a feel-good spring vibe to it and it honestly looks nothing like all the other gowns that were worn last night! I absolutely loved her makeup as well and the picture of her face is already saved on my phone for when I want to get my makeup done somewhere so they can go for the similar natural look!
Emily Ratajkowski
Black and white! My favorite! Emily is undeniably beautiful and this Prabal Gurung dress added to her beauty! I love the contrast between the dress and her tan skin and I adore that she pulled her hair back even though the dress isn't that detailed for her to have to lift her hair up but it gives her entire look a sleek vibe!
Bee Shaffer
I'm usually not a fan of floral dresses, at all. However, this Alexander McQueen dress is adorable! It makes Bee look like a princess! Her hairband with the up-do probably wins her the title of classiest look for the night!
Claire Danes
Claire Danes won the Met Gala last night! Honestly, hands down, the most creative and breath-taking dress of the night! The internet fell in love with this dress and it's basically headlining everything! This epic Cinderella dress was designed by Zac Posen and I've never been jealous of a girl in my life as much as I'm jealous of Claire right now!
Nicki Minaj
What is this? Why? This is not one of the best looks obviously but I had to talk about it because I didn't like it at all. She looks chained up and about to enter Christian Grey's red room of pain, lol. I honestly don't know what she was trying to go for with this look and I hope her next appearance will be in something better.

Typewriter Series: Moon
So I found this new app called Hanx Typewriter on the Apple Store and I fell in love with it. Tom Hanks created this app and I'm a huge fan of most of his movies! For all people who like writing, this app gives you the vibe of using a typewriter without actually having one!

Apply Makeup on the Mirror with Bad Lighting
The mirror with bad lighting
So the title of this post might actually sound like the worst advice ever. It's not when you don't take it totally literally. When you apply makeup on that mirror in the corner of your room where the lighting isn't exactly perfect, you fail to see some flaws that you would have noticed in that awesome mirror with amazing bright lighting. These flaws, though, are only seen by you, your scrutinizing eyes point out every single flaw in you, like that acne mark that is barely visible or those dark circles that are actually fading away but you pick on them anyway. Guess what? People see you in amazing lighting the same way you see yourself in bad lighting. People don't notice those tiny problems that you see in yourself because you are your biggest criticizer.
The mirror with bad lighting will make you less hard on yourself which is something you actually deserve. Stop picking at every tiny little detail about yourself that you don't like and embrace yourself as whole. I noticed this morning when I was doing my makeup on the "bad" mirror that I'm not taking forever to apply foundation in order to perfectly master the art of clear skin, to hell with that, I look just fine.
Obviously I'm not telling you to do your makeup on that mirror (although it does actually speed things up since you don't notice some things that you would have otherwise found disastrous), all I'm saying is that people and girls specifically should be easier on themselves.

WINTER FAVORITES!
Hi guys, tomorrow is (finally) the first day of Spring! Spring has great vibes to it so I'm honestly totally excited to leave my sweaters and hoodies behind and start embracing the warmer weather that's coming our way! Before I start enjoying Spring, I thought I'd blog about some beauty products that I used a lot this winter! Let's get to it!
1. This product is a life-saver! If you buy this eye cream you can literally kiss your dark circles goodbye! I personally do have dark circles under my eyes and I've been trying to find a way to get rid of them as much as I can but getting enough sleep is basically impossible especially during uni so Sesha saved me! In a matter of a couple weeks my dark circles were basically gone!
2. During winter skin gets really dry and it's a hassle to keep it moisturized. I really don't like applying things on my face especially before I go to bed cause I'd be rushing to get as many hours of sleep as possible, lol. Recently, though, I've been embracing my night cream routine and this product is included in it. The La Roche-Posay moisturizer did my skin wonders this winter, it went from an almost-disaster to beyond soft and smooth. Everyone should try this one out and it definitely should be used all year round not just winter.
3. So this isn't really a new product or anything but I've always been a loyal Maybelline mascara user so I never really thought of trying out something else until I got my hands on the Benefit They're Real mascara. It's such a good product guys, I literally insist that anyone who wants to sort of spend more than they usually would on a mascara to use this splurge on this one. Ever since I got it, I ditched half the products I used to use in my daily makeup routine because I honestly didn't need anything to complete my look except this!
4. I used to be a stubborn girl who would refuse to buy or use an eyelash curler. I fully believed that I don't need one and my eyelashes are naturally as nice as they can be. I don't know what happened one day when I was driving back from uni, I stopped at the drugstore near my house and got one. I wanted to see what the magic behind eyelash curlers is. It is what it is, magic. My eyelashes have never felt this long or thick or... curled. If you're like me, too stubborn to give this product a shot, please take my word for it and try it out.
5. THE BEST CONCEALER EVER! I've changed concealers so many times during my life and I literally never bought the same concealer twice cause I would never like any of them on my eyes, except this one. The L'Oreal True Match concealer (which I use in the shade 4) is the best thing that's ever happened to my eyes. It gives them a natural glow and it covers up insanely well!
6. When I got my hands on this palette, I literally felt like a little kid in a candy store. "oh boy oh boy oh boy oh boy", lol. The shades in this palette are perfect for any time of day, the brush that comes with it is so soft and blends really well, and the colors are extremely pigmented! Whenever anyone gets the chance to get this palette, please please do.
7. My absolute favorite winter shade. I know what you're thinking, this doesn't really look like a "winter" shade, you'd normally expect burgundy or something. Considering I go to uni literally every single day, if i put on a burgundy lipstick I would look completely out of place. The MAC Twig satin lipstick was my go-to lipstick this winter, its pink shade is so refreshing and it literally never wears off all day. For spring/summer I will probably opt for a more nude shade so I'll definitely post what it turns out to be!
8. Last but not least, my go-to scent for the season! This Vanilla Lace Victoria's Secret body mist is the best winter scent anyone can possibly think of. It has a mix of vanilla and musk so it has this warm vibe to it. Elena got this for me and I've been using it ever since!

The 1975
Hi guys! I'm currently supposed to be studying for a midterm, and my friend is looking curiously at my screen to know why I'm still stalling studying, and now he's reading what I'm writing. Well, that kind of creates a scene for you doesn't it? Anyway, I thought I should share what I've been listening to throughout the midterms this year. Last time I did a similar post was last spring semester, and well here we are again! This year has a different feel to it, so obviously the music has changed too. This post isn't a list of songs, it's more like praising a band that I love so much at the moment. The 1975. Their songs probably have the best lyrics ever, they have a different vibe than what we're listening to on the radio, and I love it. I'm going to include links to three of my current favorite songs so give them a listen and I can guarantee that you will keep the autoplay on Youtube going for hours.
