PROM SEASON!

Around this time last year, I was finishing up my senior year in school and getting ready for a great night, PROM! Prom is a night everyone looks forward to and honestly it's a night no one will ever forget! I remember going from store to store to find the perfect prom dress and googling different makeup ideas to tell the makeup artist who's going to fix me up for the big night! So I thought I'd help out this year's seniors by giving some ideas I personally liked!

HAIR!

Half up half down!

I love this hairstyle because it keeps your hair from constantly falling on your face during that busy night and it looks very effortless! It's a change from the regular just curling or just straightening and the little bun is so cute!
PLUS! You're going to need your hair up for that cap during graduation, trust me, lol!

All down

For those of you determined on keeping all their hair down, this is the look to go with! Personally this is the look i went for cause my hair was really long and I wanted it all down. I didn't want to straighten it because come on BORING! You can straighten your hair literally every single day but for this night, at least go for wavy or curly!

Up-do!

If you're the type of person who would like to pull all their back then I think this is the up-do for you! Nina Dobrev stuns in this hairstyle! A personal tip, if your graduation and prom are on the same day like mine was, you'd want to opt for a bun that's low like this one. When you put on the graduation cap and your bun goes straight into it then you'd look bald, and we don't want that, do we! So do your bun low like this one so that it shows beneath the grad cap!

MAKEUP!

Red lips

If you were thinking of going red-lipped to prom, I hope this picture helps! In order to perfectly pull off red lips, you have to pair them with minimal makeup-ed eyes! You shouldn't wear heavy makeup on your eyes in order to balance out the intensity of the lips! Please. Please. Please. Do not wear colored eye shadow if you have red lipstick on, lol!

Heavy eyeshadow!

If you're the type of person who wants the focus of their makeup to be on the eyes then I think this is the look for you! I personally love these eye shadow colors because they work with anything you could be wearing! Also, colors like golden, beige, brown, black, etc.. give a glamorous vibe more than actual colors like pink or blue or whatever. I went with a similar look last year to my prom!
With these eyes, try to go for a simple lipstick color, the eyes are intense enough!

My look for prom!! And the boyfriend lol!

ENJOY YOUR PROM GUYS AND CONGRATULATIONS!

Fashion at Coachella!

Hi everyone! I don't know about you but attending Coachella is on my bucket list! Considering I'm in Lebanon at the moment so chances of me going are basically null, I spend some time checking out the celebrity outfits being worn to this festival! I gathered some of my favorites which I will be sharing with you guys!

Kate Bosworth looks drop-dead gorgeous in this white Kempner dress and Etro jacket! She kept the boho vibe of Coachella but took it to a whole new level of class! Her natural makeup and aviator RayBan glasses were the perfect
touch to this perfect Coachella outfit!

I absolutely loved this outfit worn by Gigi Hadid! The different shades of blue give such a cool summery vibe for this festival! The huge statement necklace balances out the simplicity of her outfit. Her natural hair and minimal makeup give her the young and fresh vibe that an inspirational model like her should be implementing!

Victoria Justice's outfit does her justice! I'm so lame lol. Really though! I love the ruffled tribal skirt with the white top! And I especially love the yellow fringe bag! I have a fringe bag which I never use, this got me pumped to take it out of the closet! The hat is such a perfect addition, especially that it's actually sunny there lol! She also really pulled off those gladiator sandals! Way to go Vic!

The last outfit is worn by Rosie Huntington Whiteley. Too classy and effortless! The pastel green skirt matched with a white top work wonders with her cropped blonde hair. All the colors together make her so radiant! She finished the look with brown boots and a brown bag, making this probably my favorite Coachella outfit!

When did the "pout" become the new smile?

The age of selfies is upon us at the moment, and I am honestly not ashamed to say I take many myself. I also hate people who say "selfies are stupid", um, the only difference between a selfie and a regular picture is that you're the one taking it of yourself and not having someone else do it for you, so I honestly don't see how it's stupid. You look pretty, you're somewhere alone, you want to take a picture of yourself, OMG HOW DARE YOU! Like come on people, let's not criticize for the sole purpose of criticizing. However, with the selfie craze came a new trend which is found mostly in girls' pictures. The Pout.
A step-by-step guide to a "Pout Selfie":

1. Look disturbed like you just smelled something horrible.
2. Open your eyes wide enough so you look shocked.
3. Clear any sign of a possible smile, and just pout. Pucker those lips, not enough so that you're duckfacing but enough to make your lips look bigger and give you the bitchy vibe.
4. Take a million selfies of you pouting and Instagram the one that looks the most seductive (as if).

What in the world are you doing? Seriously now, why don't girls smile in pictures anymore? I scroll through instagram and when I see a girl smiling it's like WOAH FINALLY GOOD FOR YOU, YOU LOOK HAPPY AND NORMAL! First it started with duckfacing and at least people knew they look funny (well most of them did), but now a pout? Really? What happened to the good old smile? Do you have to look intimidating to take a good picture? It just looks funny to be honest.

Smile people! It's natural and it makes you look beautiful!

Writer's block

I felt like writing a post today but the second I laid hands on my keyboard I just froze and any idea that would come to my mind I would instantly ignore. So I guess it's time for my writer's block post:

Relationship Parasites

Hi everyone! Finally back to blogging, I really missed this during midterms! Today's post is a rant actually, and it's about something I'm sure everyone can relate to.
I'm talking about what I call Relationship Parasites.
Relationship Parasites (n.): people who don't get the fact that they're supposed to back off when someone's dating.
I see them everywhere, lurking desperately around a couple. I constantly hear these words from people in relationships: "She just doesn't leave him alone", "Shu baddo hayda ya 3amme bidall 3am yi7kiya?" (translation: "Why does he keep on talking to her?")
What I really don't get is the energy to always have to feel like you're in a competition with whoever the person's dating. He chose her, and she chose him, and they won't break that up for you, so stop trying to get their attention.
Now what is it that they really do?
For the girls, they start out really happy that the guy is in a relationship, "OMG you guys are so cute together!", yeah okay actions speak louder than words. The relationship grows, and the envy begins. She starts talking to him more, telling him she misses him, and trying her best to steer his attention away from his girlfriend even while she's there. I mean when people are 15 or something, maturity hasn't probably hit them so whatever, but later on, girls, I'm sorry, but you look like attention craving children.
I'm not saying it's wrong to be friends with someone in a relationship, just cause you're dating doesn't mean you have to live alone, but there are boundaries that many girls seem to always cross and that's not okay. While you're wasting your energy on a guy who's madly in love with his girlfriend, focus that effort on someone who might want you, cause the guy you're after doesn't.
For guys, on the other hand, it's a different approach. Obviously they can't act flirty with the girl so they dig deep into themselves, 9999 layers deep, to finally find the man they are, and show the girl what a macho gentleman they can be. If you're really the man you think you are, you wouldn't be going around chasing someone who's taken. Talk to the girl, be her friend, fine, but never, under any circumstance, try to make fun of her boyfriend. She will judge you forever, and probably go laugh at you with none other than, the real man in her life.
The guys try to act like they want to protect you, telling you to talk to them if your boyfriend ever upsets you, and glare at him when he's there. GOOD JOB! The best way to steal a girl's heart is by making her boyfriend uncomfortable.

To all those relationship parasites out there, back off already. You're not cute, flirty, fun, interesting or anything. You just look desperate honestly, and that doesn't look good on anyone.
